A month ago, we saw the introduction of the open-world event Star Wars Outlaws from Ubisoft and the studio Massive Entertainment. Although the release of the game is not planned until next year, the developers are already gradually serving us interesting information. The game’s creative director Julian Gerighty recently spoke to Edge magazine he talked about the shape of the game world, which will consist of several different planets. Gerighty confirmed that all planets will be created manually. Therefore, we will not see a greater use of procedural generation along the lines of Starfield in Star Wars Outlaws.
At the same time, we learned that the size of the individual planets will be comparable to the area of two to three areas in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The developers also revealed that landing and takeoff areas will be established on each planet. However, on the planet itself, you will be moving exclusively on the ground. Different means of transport should be available. According to Gerighty, the discovery of each planet has represent a unique journey full of different tasks and free exploration.
Star Wars Outlaws will be released next year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
