Star Wars: New trailer for the new series Andor

Dark atmosphere in the trailer

Just like in the film, it should be dark in the series. At least that’s what the new trailer (see below) suggests. Among other things, it shows how the eponymous main character Cassian Andor mingles with the henchmen of the empire as a spy. Menacing sounding music and suitable sound effects accompany the short excerpts. Fans can’t expect a colorful spectacle in the style of “The Mandalorian”, but a tough agent thriller in series format.

Big names there

The cast is star-studded to match the star wars: Stellan Skarsgård (“Dune”, “Thor”), Forest Whitaker (“The Last King of Scotland”, “Arrival”) and Ben Mendelsohn (“The King”, “Rogue One” ) play with. So many familiar faces from “Rogue One” return to the screen – including Diego Luna, of course, in his role as Cassian Andor.

The first three episodes will premiere on Disney Plus on September 21, 2022.
