Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will offer five different styles

While Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order belongs to the more successful games, there are quite a few things that the title could have handled better. His successor in form Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is trying to learn from these mistakes, and the developers probably set themselves the goal of adding not only harshness to the novel, but also greater variability of combat.

We didn’t learn much about the story per se from the new trailer you can see above from IGN, but we were battle system introduced a increased level of brutality. It was more or less missing in the previous part, and many players criticized this fact. Probably because of Disney and Lucasfilm, both companies are not only quite fond of softening the surroundings, but also wanted to save the cutting off of limbs for more important events, as was the case in the past. If everything we can see in the video makes it to the main game, it would mean one big thing. Tearing legs can count! And we mean it.

In several shots, we can clearly see how the death of some characters is accompanied by the fall of an arm or a leg. This is mainly an element that in the previous work completely was missing and will probably put a smile on a few players’ faces. After all, who wouldn’t want to rip off corpses’ hands, right? What makes it even more interesting is that not only robots will lose limbs, but also human beings. What we do not see, however, is the beheading of human enemies. This will only be possible for animals and droids.

But the most interesting thing that the demonstration brought is five different stanceswhich allow you to use interesting ways to overwhelm enemies.

The first of them is classic stance with one lightsaber. The latter of course remains and is essentially Cal’s universal moveset. You can still fight as Darth Maul with double-edged lightsaberwhich is best against large groups, but has a longer charge of attacks, so you need to jump into the fight with care.

You will now be able to fight with two lightsabers. This stance is described as the glass cannon stance. You will take more damage, but your attacks are faster and you have access to more combos. It’s also the only stance that allows you to cancel your own attack to block or dodge.

The other two new positions are called cross guard a blaster. Attitude cross guard it basically turns Cal’s lightsaber into a heavy and long weapon that provides the most powerful attacks at the expense of speed. And finally in attitude blaster the character also wields a lightsaber in addition to a firearm. This gives the player more options to attack from a distance while remaining in the center of the action.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor vyjde 28. 4. tohoto roku pro PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S a PC.
