While many were excited to learn that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was coming to PS4 and Xbox One, some expressed their concerns about the game’s performance on PC, PS5, and the Xbox series. Does that mean we have to live with these problems? Respawn said no at the time, now is the time to see if they are serious.
The studio just released a new patch for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is a good sign, with the developer emphasizing that it will make the game’s performance mode even better. In fact, they’ve apparently completely redesigned the performance mode at 60 frames per second, disabling ray tracing and improving GPU and CPU usage.
That doesn’t mean those who prefer quality mode will get the same old experience, as we’re told the patch will result in a more stable 30 fps even with some graphics upgrades.
Speaking of framerates and such, the PS5 version now supports variable refresh rates, and the PC version has received some improvements (including DLSS support). All of this comes on top of some bug fixes and tweaks, which you can read more about here。
