In this year’s “Star Fight” final, it was Knut Marius Djupvik (32) who finally went on to win.
There were only two left when it all had to be decided; Djupvik, who won “The Voice” in 2013, and Sandra Lyng (33), who came in fourth place in “Idol” in 2004.
In the end, it was the former who won the entire sulamit, after charming the judges and the audience in the sink.
– It feels absolutely fantastic – I am incomprehensibly happy! I have put so much time and effort into this, together with my family, and it has been a very intense period. Standing here with a victory is absolutely insane, said the 32-year-old from Tomrefjord immediately after the result was clear.
– I’m sorry, but it’s because it’s over. I’m not going to see these people weekly anymore. I have fallen in love with people, said Lyng.
In the final, they each performed their own song from their own repertoire. For Djupvik’s part, it was “Help me to help”, while Lyng chose “Get rid of flag”. They should also choose from songs they have performed earlier in the competition. Djupvik went for “With a Little Help from My Friends” – originally released by The Beatles, but also known in Joe Cocker’s version – while Lyng went for “Run This Town” with Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West.
The artists ended the finale with a freely chosen song. For Sandra Lyng’s part, the choice fell on “Titanium” with David Guetta and Sia. Djupvik chose Queens «The Show Must Go On».
Djupvik originally comes from Tomrefjord in Vestnes in Møre og Romsdal. He became known to the general public when he won The Voice in 2013. The versatile singer has, among other things, had roles in several musical productions, such as “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Chess” and “We love ABBA”. In addition, he is the front man in the eleven-man band Red Hot.
