Star Thinks He’s Now Paying the Price for ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

Actor Jamie Dornan stood out with his part in the series Once Upon a Time and that eventually earned him the lead role in the film series Fifty Shades of Grey. And, as is often the case, the role remains with him. The actor himself believes that he is now paying a price for the otherwise well-considered choice.

“In the end, no. I mean, I understood what job I accepted, and the reactions. I was in the race long before it, remember. It wasn’t a decision I made on a whim. I was beaten in the beginning by Charlie Hunnam and I felt a certain relief when he got the part, to be honest,” the actor said in conversation with GQ Magazine.

Charlie Hunnam Withdrew
“I thought, ‘It would have been nice, but it would have turned out to be a strange sequence. Better not to do it.’ But Hunnam withdrew and then I got a call. And I got the part. I was faced with the choice again,” the actor added.

“Look, I’ll put it this way: it didn’t hurt my career to be part of a film franchise that has made more than $1 billion. Any actor would say the same,” said Dornan. Yet the actor thinks that he is continuously in contact with his part in the series. He is now paying the price for it.

Dornan we have also seen in films such as The Siege of Jadotville (2016), Robin Hood (2018) in Synchronic (2019) and soon he will have a role in the acclaimed Belfast of Kenneth Branagh. “It’s the best thing he’s done since Fifty Shades,” the actor reads recently.
