The actor who played the minor character Gunther in the comedy series “Friends” – James Michael Taylor, revealed that he received a severe diagnosis.
He learned that he had prostate cancer three years ago during a checkup. The disease spread to his bones, leading to paralysis of his lower body. That’s what prevented Taylor from attending a live episode of Friends.

For 10 seasons of the legendary series, Taylor played the manager of Central Perk – the cafe where Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, Chandler, Monica and Joey gather.
The actor revealed the diagnosis during his participation in the Today Show on NBC.
