Cloud Imperium Games has released a new video showing how Star Citizen will soon fix one of its biggest problems.
The objectively super-long development cycle aside, one of the biggest problems new Star Citizen players face is the lack of a complete manual. The game is still in alpha and once had a tutorial, but it quickly became obsolete and was cancelled.
In the next update, Alpha 3.19, there will be a brand new “New Player Experience” which is basically an extended guide to teach you. This is especially important as the update will be rolling out at the start of Invictus’ launch week with its Free Fly Event, which means a lot of new players will flood the game’s universe and want to learn how to get out of bed when they first show up in their room.
You think it’s a joke, but there are tons of people who have asked about it in the game’s chat. By the way, just press “Y” on your keyboard.
Meanwhile, Star Citizen’s crowdfunding campaign has topped $569 million ($569,829,275 to date). The number of registered accounts is 4,573,148.
Star Citizen will be released sometime in the 21st century.
