In the latest episode of the “Journalism Zero” series on Kanał Zero, Krzysztof Stanowski looks at the past of the famous journalist – Eliza Michalik. The publicist is currently associated with left-wing media, although in the past she cooperated with such titles as “Gazeta Polska” and “Ozon“. – We have a chameleon in Poland that does not occur anywhere else in nature. No reptile can cope with changing its color as well as Eliza Michalik, says the creator of Kanał Zero.

Krzysztof Stanowski openly admits that he recorded the material about the journalist “out of revenge” for what she wrote about him. – It’s lucky that she got under my skin so much, because thanks to it I looked at all her work and… oh my God, what is it all about – he says at the beginning.
– I will introduce you to a person who is considered an opinion-former today and constantly talks about what is good and what is bad, what is appropriate and what is not, who should be beheaded and who should be spared. A true queen of rules, manners, tact and decency, and she is as suitable as I am to be the head of diplomacy – Krzysztof Stanowski encourages you to watch the material. – Eliza Michalik has the views that are profitable for her at a given moment, for which she can be paid by her employer – she says.
The journalist recalled that when Michalik worked in “Gazeta Polska” and the Catholic “Ozon”, she “spewed hatred towards homosexuals”, running the column “Homophobe’s Corner”, the name of which was not intended to be ironic. One of the fragments cited by Stanowski was a comparison of the adoption of children by homosexual couples to the adoption of dogs by zoophiles.
He also recalled that Eliza Michalik used to be a staunch opponent of abortion and has written many anti-feminist texts. He also recalled the journalist’s recent statements, which are completely contrary to what she had previously said. In this context, Stanowski quoted the journalist’s article in which she criticized quotas in the Sejm, ironically claiming that “adequate representation in parliament and state offices should be ensured for lesbians, bald people, midgets, disabled people and idiots.”
Plagiarism Michalik. She was supposed to copy Balcerowicz’s text
Krzysztof Stanowski also talks about numerous plagiarisms allegedly committed by Eliza Michalik. She cites several examples in this context, quoting fragments of her articles and comparing them with almost identical texts by other people. In this way, she was supposed to copy, among others: fragment of an article by Leszek Balcerowicz from the weekly “Wprost”. According to the journalist, he has never seen plagiarism in journalism on such a scale.
The creator of Channel Zero also recalled that Michalik herself called the accusations of plagiarism circulating online “absurd allegations” and did not intend to apologize for it. “I feel like Józef K. from Kafka’s ‘The Trial’,” she wrote.
