Information about her death was posted on social media by Telewizja Polska, with which the presenter was associated throughout her professional life. The presenter’s family admitted that Stanisława Ryster she died a few days ago.

In an interview with “Rzeczpospolita” after the program was taken off the air, she admitted that she was told by her superiors that no one was watching her, and that the game show was intended for audiences over sixty, and there was no need to produce programs for them. – But that’s not true. A lot of people came to the qualifying rounds, including many young people. The program had many loyal viewers who fought for it even in the Sejm, prompting MPs to submit interpellations in defense of “The Great Game”, she recalled.
For many people, the game show “The Big Game” was one of the best programs ever produced. It was also one of the more difficult ones. It was characterized by the fact that it tested specialist knowledge in a given field, for which the player had to prepare really well, because very detailed questions were often asked. It was the first game show in Poland with a foreign license.
Stanisława Ryster was born on May 2, 1942 in Lviv, Ukraine. She graduated from Secondary School No. 2. Maria Konopnicka in Katowice, and then law studies at the University of Warsaw. She started working on television in 1966. Initially, she hosted youth programs and game shows. In 1975, she became the host of the game show “Wielka gra” on TVP, which she hosted continuously until 2006. In 2010, she returned to Polish Television, preparing the program “Wielka gra – na bis” on TVP Polonia. In 1998, she received the Super Wiktor award for a television personality for lifetime achievement.
