FC Bayern took the lead early on in Wolfsburg. With the meeting of FCB youngster Josip Stanisic, Munich have secured a new Bundesliga record.
The young Croatian was allowed to play somewhat surprisingly from the start and promptly thanked him with a goal. After a corner kick from Joshua Kimmich, the right-back headed Bayern 1-0 up in the 17th minute. It was also his first Bundesliga goal in 14 games for the 22-year-old defender.
In the 23rd, Musiala made it 2-0 but the goal was annulled by VAR after Alphonso Davies was passively flagged for offside.
Nevertheless, Bayern secured a new Bundesliga record with the opening goal: Bayern are the first team in Bundesliga history to score 48 away goals in a single season.
