Temporary Indonesian National Team U-23 stuck in fourth place. The Garuda Muda squad is stuck in fourth place with three points, thanks to one win and one defeat.
Changes to the 2021 SEA Games Group A standings due to the results of the two matches presented on Tuesday (10/5/2022). The two matches were the U-23 Myanmar National Team vs the U-23 Philippines National Team and the U-23 Indonesian National Team versus the U-23 Timor Leste National Team.
The Myanmar U-23 national team first changed their fate in Group A. They successfully silenced the U-23 Philippines national team with a score of 3-2.
Meanwhile, the Garuda Muda squad itself managed to add three points, after crushing the U-23 Timor Leste National Team. Competing on Tuesday (10/5/2022) night WIB, the team made by Shin Tae-yong won 4-1 over their opponent.
The U-23 Indonesian national team managed to take the lead in the 16th minute through Egy Maulana Vikri’s kick. Had been held back by one goal in the first half, the Garuda Muda squad succeeded in scoring three more goals in the second half.
Witan Sulaeman scored three goals for the Indonesian U-23 national team (52′ and 77′). Then, another goal was scored by the captain, Fachrudin Aryanto in the 58th minute’. Meanwhile, the U-23 Timor Leste national team managed to reduce the situation in the 69th minute through Mouzinho.
Unfortunately Mouzinho’s goal did not change the result. The U-23 Timor Leste national team still lost 1-4 to the U-23 Indonesian national team.
Four goals in last night’s match changed the goal difference between the Indonesian U-23 national team in the 2021 SEA Games Group A standings. Now Shin Tae-yong’s team has scored four goals and conceded four times from two lags in Group A SEA Games 2021.
Furthermore, the U-23 Indonesian National Team will play their third match on Friday, May 16, 2022. The Garuda Muda squad will meet the Philippines U-23 National Team to maintain their hopes of qualifying for the 2021 SEA Games semifinals.
