2022 World Cup European Qualification format
Teams will face each other twice in their groups, indoor and outdoor. The 10 teams that complete their groups as leaders will directly participate in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The runners-up of the group, with 10 teams from the UEFA Nations League, will go to the play-off matches and seek a World Cup visa. After the 12-team play-off matches, which will be played in a single-elimination method, the other 3 countries that will participate in the World Cup will be determined.
