Standing on Mars, NASA Shows Ingenuity Helicopter Sound Video

Hitekno.com – Recently, NASA show off the video voice recording Helikopter Ingenuity who is on duty on the red planet, Mars. As part of the research data, this voice recording was then revealed to the public.

The Ingenuity Helicopter voice recording was apparently taken by NASA’s Mars Perseverance rover using two microphones on its body. This is not the first time the robot has successfully recorded the helicopter’s voice.

Reporting from the official NASA website, this sound recording is the result of combining recordings of a solar powered helicopter taken by the Mastcam-Z Perseverance imager with audio from the microphone belonging to the SuperCam laser instrument.

NASA admitted that scientists did not think that the Mars explorer robot, which was parked 262 feet or 80 meters from the landing site of the Ingenuity Helicopter, was able to pick up the sound of the helicopter’s arrival.

On the original sound recording, the Ingenuity Helicopter sounded very small. This is because there is the influence of the thin atmosphere of Mars and wind gusts that are quite strong on this red planet.

Recognized by professor of planetary science at ISAE-SUPAERO and head of Mars Super Cam microphone science, David Mimoun, this discovery is a gold mine for scientists’ understanding of the atmosphere on Mars.

The sound recording that was circulated by NASA has clearly gone through the editing process to make it clearer to Earth’s citizens.

According to NASA, some frequencies are cut off to listen to the Ingenuity Helicopter’s loudest hum as it then passes through the camera’s field of view.
