STAN vie for ministry after Pirates

Thursday afternoon, the Board of Mayors meets first, and then the national committee meets. They deal with the new form of government.

STAN is fighting for more seats in the government. He wants to get two. But this runs into the Spolu coalition. According to the Minister of Finance Zbynka Stanjura one post (Ministry of Legislation) will disappear. The other two departments (Ministry of Regional Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) will be divided. “One post will be given to the Spolu coalition and one post will be given to the STAN movement,” Stanjura said on the Seznam Zpráv program I am asking.

But the mayors argue that they are as strong as ODS, which has six seats. In the Chamber of Deputies, STAN managed to get an unclassified candidate Ivo Vondrák. The former ANO politician headed the Starosts candidate in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The mayors finished second behind ANO and will sit in the regional council for the first time.

In the Chamber of Deputies, Vondrák basically votes with the Mayors and says that he shares values ​​with the STAN movement, even if he is still unaffiliated.

If a position at the Ministry of Regional Development becomes vacant, it should go to the Mayors, based on the logic of the parliamentary results.

In the meantime, the seat of the Pilsen district was contested from afar he signed it ending pirate ruler Rudolph spot. He won only three regional mandates in the elections for the Pirates, but if we see it as a victory… The outgoing governor nevertheless wants calm emotions and stay in government. But his movement did not get much sympathy in the party.

It shows the ongoing controversy over funding for affordable rental housing. According to the ministry, about eight billion is again missing in the current version of the state budget.

“During the discussions on next year’s budget, Minister Zbyněk Stanjura did not listen to any of my arguments. He rejected the government’s commitment to help cities and towns where people live poorly due to a lack of services, nurseries and housing. They are areas in economic and social danger, in which about a quarter of the Czech population lives. At the government meeting on Wednesday, I did not support the budget – apart from the development of the regions, it also does not remember universities or investments in regional education and education in general,” said the outgoing minister. The mayors will want to throw money at Finance Minister Stanjur, otherwise they will get a limited ministry.

But they can relax in digital matter. He got the responsibility for her Martin Kupka (ODS). Although he himself emphasizes that he is a coordinator and according to the Minister of Finance Stanjura, the new minister must deal with the digitization of construction management.

prime minister Peter Fiala he is also satisfied with the work of the Minister of Legislation Michal Solomon (for the Pirates). Among other things, he succeeded in reducing the number of European Union directives that have not been incorporated into Czech law for a long time from 36 to four. In this way, the Czech Republic avoided a fine of up to two billion crowns.

What will happen to this ministry without the portfolio? One of the things that should be considered is to replace Solomon with a deputy. This option was also indirectly announced by the Minister of Finance Zbyněk Stanjura, according to whom it will disappear.

However, according to Seznam Zpráv information, the Starostov could be interested in this resort and perhaps Minister Šalomoun himself. Minister Šalomoun is currently on vacation and did not answer the question.

According to behind-the-scenes information, he could then remain in the third pirate ministry – Foreign Affairs -⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠ John Lipabha. After all, both the Prime Minister and the president are promoting this. But Lipavský has already announced that if the Pirates leave the government, he would also leave the party.

Therefore, at the coalition level, they are looking for ways to keep Lipavský in office and at the same time for which there is a political force, even if he was a non-party member, he would still be in the government. The best opportunity even in terms of closeness to ideology, it has TOP 09.

Lipavský with the president Peter Paul returning from New York after the weekend. Pavel has already announced that he would not question Lipavský’s stay as a non-party member, and the prime minister only speaks of him in superlatives.

But the question is how Lipavský could stay. He himself said he would resign if the Pirates left. Will the Prime Minister accept her? Or the president?

The mayors will also have permission from their representative at the Ministry of Industry and Trade after they leave Jozef Sikela (STAN) for the post of European Commissioner for International Partnerships.

According to expectations, he should be the deputy and vice president of the Starosts Lucaš Vlček. According to Seznam Zpráv information, the departure of Ivan Bartoš from the post of Minister for Regional Development did not change anything. Of course, Vlček would also be a good fit for this ministry, but the party leadership may not make any changes.
