“STALKR 2 Heart of Chornobyl: Latest Teaser Reveals Partnerships & Return of Fan-Favorite Location”

The latest video teasing the game STALKR 2 Heart of Chornobyl was brought by the developers from GSC Game World at the end of last year. The trailer named “Come to me” brought a lot of new footage from the game and was intended, beyond the enjoyment of players and fans, to maintain communication continuity, which was significantly disrupted by the war in Ukraine. It was also because of her that part of the team moved to Prague in order to continue development and complete the game, but it remains unclear how the title is currently doing. The last official reports talked about an indefinite delay, and therefore it is treacherous to talk about the fact that the game could arrive in 2023, but the development did not stop and the developers remembered again after long months. This time with a short teaser, which could appear as an advertisement for an energy drink, but in reality there is something hidden behind it, which will be appreciated especially by veterans of the series.

The video itself is not particularly revealing, it lacks an introduction and actually even a conclusion. The only thing that happens in it is opening a can of energy drink and… the end. What this means is explained by the description of the video and the community manager of GSC Game World on Reddit – the developers have entered into a partnership with the Ukrainian producer of energy drinks NON STOP. However, this is not the first such connection, as the same energy drink also appeared in the game STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, although only in the versions of the game intended for countries belonging to the CIS. For the rest of the world, the partnership was not concluded, so the cans remained without distinctive logos and brands. So the question is how the partnership will be this time, but it is more likely that we will see NON STOP energy in the case of Heart of Chornobyl in all versions.

But the location that the short video captures is even more interesting – the Janiv railway station, which is located in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The location was accessible in Call of Pripyat under the name Yanov Station or Jupiter, representatives of almost all factions move around it, and you can also encounter all kinds of mutants here. The station itself was then the hub for all significant activity in that location and was the gateway to great side quests. We now know that he will return in Heart of Chornobyl, and taking into account the fact that the main character, strengthened by an energy drink, doesn’t actually pay any attention to the person leaning against the wall of the building, this time too we will probably find a refuge here and a place from which we will set off for further adventures. From a technical point of view, we don’t rate too much a static building or clumps of vegetation, but especially a nice animation of opening a can, which – hopefully – could be the promise of similar animations linked to other parts of the equipment.

Unfortunately, we don’t know more about the game, so we can only wait for the developers to cross one of the other milestones and inform us more about how the game is currently doing.
