Recently, the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World announced that it plans to release STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl in the first quarter of 2024.
Since the development of the game is associated with a large number of problems, many of which are related to the war that Russia unleashed on the territory of Ukraine, gamers began to doubt these release dates as well.
GSC Game World PR manager Zakhar Bocharov and lead programmer of the Xbox Series version of STALKER 2 Maksym Yanchyi spoke to IGN journalists.
The interview mainly focuses on the difficulties of developing a game during the war and the problems that attacks of Russian hackers bring to the studio, but Zakhar Bocharov touched on another interesting topic.
What is known
The PR manager said that the STALKER 2 shooter is ready for release, it remains only to polish the game, fix the remaining bugs and make sure that each element is completed at a decent level.
In addition, the developers have mentioned that they are aiming to provide graphics at the level of a 2021 trailer in STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be available on PC and Xbox Series and will be included in the Game Pass catalog immediately.
