It will appear next year the STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, which has so far been rumored to have the Unreal Engine 4 purring under the roof of the engine compartment. Now, however, a tweet published by GSC Game World has revealed that it will actually use Unreal Engine 5, unveiled by Epic Games last year.

The explanation is probably that at one point in the development, the engine was replaced. It also turned out that Epic Games helped GSC Game World a lot by answering technical and optimization questions.
