Developers from the GSC Game World studio continue to delight fans with a new presentation of the game STALKER 2 at the ongoing gaming exhibition Gamescom 2024. This time the team visited the IGN booth, where they released an atmospheric gameplay trailer, which you can see below. In addition, representatives of GSC Game World gave a short interview to journalists, in which they talked about an important topic – the release date of the game.
The new trailer for STALKER 2, like previous demos, again shows a night exploration of the Chernobyl Zone mixed with footage showing the beauty of these places in daylight. Depending on the time of day, places can frighten the ominous atmosphere and night monsters or attract with beautiful landscapes, which, however, are full of dangers.
More gameplay footage of the shoot was shown during the interview. These sections include an exploration of an underground bunker and an abandoned facility formerly used as an electronics manufacturing plant.
Regarding the release date of STALKER 2, GSC Game World plans to release the game in November this year without further delay. The developers admitted to journalists that it was not easy for them to make decisions about transfers, but they always put the quality of the content and the technical condition of the game first. The sequel turned out to be on a large scale both in terms of the game world and its content, so the authors needed more time to implement all the ideas. The team is now fully focused on polishing the game and is confident of a final release date of November 20th for PC and Xbox consoles.
