The developers of the expected shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl from the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World is currently facing a new problem. The group is demanding an apology from the GSC to Russian and Belarusian players, apparently for their vehement, long-term support of Ukraine, which Russia attacked a year ago. According to the newly published developer report, this is not the first attempt at hacking, leaks or obtaining personal information, which they have to face. Due to the war in Ukraine, they have been fending off constant cyberattacks for more than a year and have already encountered extortion, acts of aggression, hacks, attempts to harm players and fans, as well as attempts to disrupt the development process or GSC’s reputation.

But because studio employees, as citizens of Ukraine, have experienced far worse things, including destroyed homes, destroyed lives, and the death of loved ones, they consider any attempts at blackmail or threats to be completely futile. Nor do they intend to change anything about their devotion to their homeland, so they will continue to support and defend Ukraine by all available means. And that should not change in the future under any circumstances.
