“Stale Food and Rotten Meat Found in Kozhikode Hotel: Health Officials Confirm Bad Food Shutdown”

Kozhikode: Stale food and rotten meat were seized from a hotel in the city. Stale chicken and other meats were recovered from the hotel’s godown. The incident took place around 2.30 pm on Sunday.

The team that came to Kozhikode from Wayanad got the stale food. They said that the chicken biryani bought from the hotel smelled bad. They also alleged that when they took the chicken and put it in their mouths, they realized that it was rotten chicken.

Those who ate the food felt sick. Currently, the Corporation’s health officials have reached the spot and confirmed that the food is bad. Officials have also issued a notice to the Mayflower Hotel citing the matter.

The available information is that they can check the sample only when the food safety department reaches the place. But the officials were informed around 2.30 pm but have not reached the spot yet.

The hotel staff claims that fresh meat was brought and it got spoiled due to heat.
