On Christmas Eve, a German won 1.4 billion in the Eurojackpot, but this week no one has matched the five winning numbers and two star numbers.
On Friday 30 June, a Dane and an Italian came closest when they hit 5 + 1 and won the second prize of NOK 16.5 million.
280 million
The first prize pot therefore remained untouched, and this means that it increases even more until the next Eurojackpot draw, which is Tuesday 4 July.
Then the possible first prize will be approximately NOK 280 million.
Norwegian millionaire winner
As usual, we drew without a millionaire among all Norwegian Eurojackpot players (i.e. those who have delivered to Norsk Tipping), and the lucky one was a woman from Ålseund.
After two attempts, we got an answer on the phone.
– I was sure it was a prank call – and I’m probably not completely sure now either, but if it’s true, it’s wonderful, said the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous.
She played the Eurojackpot via Norsk Tipping’s app earlier this week.

What is a cooperative bank?
Andelsbank gives Eurojackpot players the opportunity to play system games together with other players. For each share you buy, you pay 10 percent of the total investment, and thus receive 10 percent of any profit.
You can buy as many shares as you want.
When participating in larger system games, the possibility of winning one or more prizes increases as systems cover more combinations of numbers.

Chance of winning Eurojackpot
To win first prize in the Eurojackpot, you must have 5 correct numbers out of 50 possible, in addition to 2 correct star numbers out of 12 possible. This gives a total of approx. 140 million possible combinations per row, and the chance of winning is then approx. 1:140 million per row. For second prize, the chance of winning is approx. 1:7 million per row, while the national prize (NOK 1 million) is approx. 1:number of rows.
