The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) of PT Bank Danamon Tbk approved the appointment of Halim Alamsyah as the Company’s Independent Commissioner.
Quoted from Danamon’s official statement, Halim was appointed as an independent commissioner because he is well known and respected in the field of regulation of the Indonesian financial industry.
Halim’s appointment as an independent commissioner is effective after passing the fit and proper test from the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
Halim currently serves as Expert Staff to the Minister of Finance in the Field of Islamic Finance and Finance.
In addition to the change in the composition of the commissioners, the EGMS also accepted the resignation of Michellina Laksmi Triwardhany as the Company’s Deputy President Director effective on September 4, 2021.
Then Adnan Qayum Khan who is the Company’s Integrated Risk Director effective on July 24, 2021.
Danamon’s President Director, Yasushi Itagaki said that the appointment of Halim Alamsyah as an Independent Commissioner could further strengthen good governance at Danamon.
“With his extensive experience in the financial industry, we believe we can make a positive contribution to support and strengthen the bank’s growth going forward,” Yasushi explained in a press release, Thursday (26/8/2021).
He also appreciated Michellina and Adnan for their dedication and contribution to Danamon.
“All directors and commissioners pray for
all the best and success to Michellina Laksmi Triwardhany and Adnan Qayum Khan in
take his next personal journey,” he said.
After the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, the composition of Danamon’s Board of Commissioners is:
1. Takayoshi Futae as President Commissioner
2. Prof. Dr. JB Kristiadi Pudjosukanto as Deputy President Commissioner (Independent)
3. Peter Benjamin Stok as Commissioner (Independent)
4. Nobuya Kawasaki as Commissioner
5. Hedy Maria Helena Lapian as Commissioner (Independent)
6. Takanori Sazaki as Commissioner*)
7. Dan Harsono as Commissioner*)
8. Dr. Halim Alamsyah as Independent Commissioner*)
*) is effective after passing the fit and proper test from the Service Authority

the composition of the members of the Board of Directors of the Company effective as of September 4, 2021 as
