Staff willingness to be vaccinated changes from hospital to hospital

UZ Brussel announced Thursday that 88% of its staff have been vaccinated, a very high rate compared to other establishments in the capital.

Of the 4,791 invitations sent for an injection, 4,223 employees, students, interns, external colleagues and volunteers have accepted and 1,024 people have already received a second dose.

No other hospital in Brussels has figures so high so far.

The Iris hospital network

Two trends emerge.

  • AT the Jules Bordet Institute and the Queen Fabiola Children’s University Hospital, two thirds of the staff (i.e. almost 66%) have already been vaccinated;
  • – In the three general establishments (Brugmann, Saint-Pierre and Iris Sud Hospitals), alone 50% of staff are ready for treatment.

The Chirec

Within Chirec, of which is part Delta Hospital in Auderghem, an awareness campaign will be carried out in the next two weeks to increase the figures. Today, 60 to 65% of nurses received her first dose. A final vaccination session will follow within two weeks.

The Clinics of Europe

Finally, the Cliniques de l’Europe have also embarked on a long communication campaign with posters, a webinar and testimonials from doctors. The staff vaccination campaign will be completed during the next week. The figures will be communicated later, but the establishment aims for collective immunity and a minimum of 70% staff vaccinated.
