No, I don’t think so. I think we needed to meet again in the fight in Pau and that’s what we had missed over the previous four seasons where we were lost there. We wanted to reassure ourselves in this section, maybe this is the right time because it is true that this is an area that we did not have much in the Bordeaux and Castres games. It will take a fight on Sunday because Toulon have a team that likes to play high, that likes to play against the opposition and put pressure on them. It’s up to us to make sure these levels of complexity are at home and to get out of our camp as well as possible.

You are one of the 11 Toulouse residents who will go to Marcoussis on Monday to prepare for the November exams. Is there a bit of anxiety when you play the last game before joining the France team?
It’s not a worry but it’s sure that we know we’re going to leave the club for a few weeks. So obviously, we want to leave with the feeling of a job well done and above all to leave the group in the best conditions for the first two doubles of the season (in Bayonne and against Perpignan, editor’s note). It is important for us to prove all that with a good game and a win at home.

Yes, but I think club games have a real impact on our performance later in the selection because we need confidence up there as well. And we also have confidence when we feel that we have done things right with the club and that we can leave with peace of mind and freedom. There is a time for everything and this is still club time.
