The legend Samuel Eto’o, president of the Cameroon Football Federation, was present during the match between Stade de Reims and RC Lens for a very specific reason.
The President of the Cameroon Football Federation is currently on a European tour. The objective is to come and meet the Cameroonian players and also to convince the dual nationals to choose the selection of the Indomitable Lions. During RC Lens’ victory in Reims, Samuel Eto’o was able to observe Lensois striker Ignatius Ganago. But he was also there to convince Hugo Ekitike to play for Cameroon. If the Reims striker made all the youth selections with the French team, Samuel Eto’o would see him evolve under the jersey of the Indomitable Lions.
Samuel Eto’o received a standing ovation this afternoon on his arrival at the Auguste Delaune stadium.
