The official fixed dollar exchange rate of the NBU has not changed since July 21, 2022 and is 36.5686 hryvnia per dollar. At the same time, the official exchange rate of the euro as of June 8 is 39.1851 hryvnia per euro (+0.1335 hryvnia).

Worn banknotes

As RBC-Ukraine reported, complaints about exchange offices have recently become more frequent, they refuse to accept cash currency. They demand additional commissions, qualifying bills as “worn out”.

At the same time, an additional commission cannot be taken for the acceptance of undamaged banknotes or a different exchange rate can be applied. Such violations are grounds for revocation of licenses.

State-owned banks and financial companies have recently received harsh warnings from the NBU about the inadmissibility of such behavior.
