“Stability Support” adjusts the amount of onions that are not suitable for consumption

On Friday, the Stability Support Service announced the seizure and destruction of an amount of onions unfit for human consumption in the municipality of Janzour.

The agency stated, in a statement on its official Facebook page, that this comes within the framework of the ongoing campaign on food and medicine, as the Janzour office was assigned to the Stability Support Agency in cooperation with the Abu Salim Environmental Sanitation Office, the Abu Salim Municipal Guard Agency, the Abu Salim Municipal Guard Branch, and the Food and Drug Control Center Abu Salim Branch. And the Internal Security Agency, to launch an inspection campaign on the vegetable market in the municipality of Janzour.

At dawn today, an estimated quantity of 30,000 kilograms of onions, unfit for human consumption, was seized because it was infected with black fungus. It was imported from the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The seized quantity was destroyed at the headquarters of the textile factory in the municipality of Janzour, in the presence of all parties participating in the campaign.
