The stabbing incident occurred in the stairwell of a hotel used to house asylum seekers. The perpetrator had no terrorist motive, police say.
An eyewitness saw how four injured people were taken from a nearby office complex. “I saw a man of African descent lying on the floor with no shoes on,” the witness told the BBC. The man would have bled profusely.
Blood everywhere
That confirms another eyewitness, who was at the hotel during the stabbing. “I was in my room and heard loud screams downstairs,” he told the BBC. “I heard a man and a woman call for help.”
The man went to see what was going on and saw blood in the elevator. “I then took the stairs and saw that the reception was also covered in blood.”
