Amstelveen – A stabbing took place at Orion in the In Middenhoven district in Amstelveen South on Monday evening around half past eight.

Around half past eight, local residents were startled by many sirens: many police units and ambulances responded to the report of the stabbing. One person was injured.
There is said to have been a threatening situation between two young people and a man surrounding the stabbing incident. The massive police presence made two arrests in the immediate vicinity of Orion. The police report on social media that the arrested suspects are an underage boy and an 18-year-old man.
Ambulance personnel took care of the victim. The victim was still responsive.
A large part of the square at Orion (in front of De Meent) was cordoned off with ribbons.

Extensive investigation is being conducted, Forensic Investigation (FO) is also on site. It is still unclear what exactly happened and what led to the stabbing. The stabbing was reported by a bystander who saw it happen.
