A man has been sent to the hospital Ostfold with serious injuries after an unauthorized person entered his home in Trugstad.

The police have last night hunted an unknown perpetrator who has run from the place on foot and possible further by car.
– The perpetrator was dark-clad, white scarf and missing a shoe.
– There is probably no relationship between the victim and the perpetrator, says Operations Manager Halvor Andersen to VG.
– A person has entered the residence and there has been a scuffle with someone who lived there. The person has been sent to hospital and is described as seriously injured, says Andersen.
The victim is seriously but not life-threatening injured.
Andersen says the police are working on a theory that it is a burglary attempt that has gone wrong.
– Do you consider the perpetrator dangerous to others?
It’s hard to say because we don’t know who we’re dealing with. He will probably try to get away.
The police have little to go on when it comes to the perpetrator, and want tips in the case. They ask people who have seen someone who has behaved strangely in the area to let them know.
Later in the night, the police arrive with an updated description of the perpetrator: a man about 180 centimeters, wearing a black half-long jacket/coat. He only had é shoes when he ran from the spot.
When VG talks to Andersen just after 0530 on Thursday, no one has been arrested in the case.
Technical research was done on site. There are no specific suspects, he said.
Anderson said there was a survey of other homes in the area.

There has been information that may be of interest.
– Has anyone told you about similar events lately?
– There has been information that may indicate that there may have been unauthorized people around in the area.
The incident occurred in an area with several homes nearby, but not in a housing estate.
Police are searching for the perpetrator by helicopter and several patrols. The police also had an initial conversation with the victim in the hospital.
