Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – Because he is said to have stabbed another man several times during a dispute, a 32-year-old is in custody. The police said on Monday that his opponent had been seriously injured in the back and in the eye area during the argument in Müllheim (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district). According to a police spokesman, it was initially unclear whether the 22-year-old could go permanently blind. “The residual risk is there.” The injuries did not pose a threat to life.
The 32-year-old suspect, known to the police, was arrested on Friday morning – a few hours after the attack on Thursday evening. On Friday, a magistrate ordered him to be remanded in custody for serious bodily harm.
