“St. Viti Parish Meeting: Learn about German Culture in Brazil with Jutta Drögemüller-Frey”

The St. Viti parish of Zeven invites citizens from Bademühlen and Badenstedt as well as interested parties to the next parish meeting. The event will take place on Tuesday, May 2, from 3 p.m. in the old school in Badenstedt.

After the prayer and the coffee, Jutta Drögemüller-Frey reports on German culture in Brazil and also shows photos. This culture exists “because Germans emigrated to Brazil, especially in the 19th and 20th centuries,” the announcement says. This was partly due to economic reasons. Drögemüller-Frey and her husband lived in Brazil for more than eight years and were involved in the German cultural association “CC 25 de Julho” in the city of Santa Cruz do Sul.
