Lovren arrived in St. Petersburg last summer from Liverpool and signed a contract for three years, that is, until the end of this season. He played for Lyon between 2010 and 2013 after moving from Dinamo Zagreb for eight million euros plus bonuses.
Then he worked in England in Southampton and Liverpool. Manager Laurent Blanc, who took over the team in October, saw him as a reinforcement for Lyon.
