Goggia: “I live day by day”

Sofia, third and happy: “Three podiums in three races is absolutely not bad: clearly I know that compared to how I skied today there is a margin. But that’s okay, not all donuts always come out with a hole. I felt more tense than last week. It wasn’t easy to understand the snow conditions: here there is always an aggressive surface and I would need more time to adapt. After Beaver Creek I actually couldn’t ski anymore except in the race, apart from one lap in the open field. Today it was a very particular snow, it was tracked like a giant and staying just one meter more in the curve makes you slow down. Huetter was very fast everywhere, I was at times, in spurts: but after the injury I like to live day by day.”

The rankings

Goggia leads the Super-G Cup ranking with 160 points together with Gut-Behrami, third is Huetter with 150, fourth Brignone with 90. In the general first is the Swiss Camilla Rast (287 points), second Huetter (250), third the American Mikaela Shiffrin (245), fourth Goggia (240). The second super-G is scheduled for tomorrow starting at 11am.
