The third and final presentation of SYRIZA MEP candidates was held today, Friday, 12/04, in the square of Nea Smyrna, with the president of the party addressing a greeting.
The party of Koumoundourou opened the curtain at the conference center of the municipality of Nea Ionia, followed by the presentation at the town hall square, in Peristeri.
On Friday evening, Nikos Pappas, Thanasis Theocharopoulos, Dionysis Teboneras, Konstantinos Panagiotopoulos, Elena Akrita, Rania Svigou, Kostas Vassiliadis and the MEPs Elena Kountoura – Kostas Arvanitis, among others, gave their “present”. The square had many members and executives of SYRIZA – PS.
“It is absolutely possible to be the first party in the upcoming European elections”, stressed Stefanos Kasselakis, in his opening statement launching a fierce attack on the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. “Know that there is a current in society. The castle of right-wing propaganda is collapsing day by day and against it, you will see that this great gathering will grow and become a sea of people within two months”.
He reiterated his certainty “let’s go for the first party” saying “that’s where we belong, in the ruling patriotic modern left that solves the world’s problems and is not afraid to go against the mechanisms of interests.” Stefanos Kasselakis, addressing the candidates, noted that “here begins the path of engagement with the public and it will be a long path for all of you.
“I’m not predictable”
He emphasized that “in order for the Greenberg propaganda to succeed, it needs a predictable opponent. I’m not predictable either. And as long as they wait for me in the corner, I will come out to them from somewhere else. Yesterday I opened my house to the TV camera, today I put their paid guns that I show off wealth. I have no reason to change how I live. To a prime minister who is celebrating the acquisition of the 42nd property without anyone knowing how an untold fortune is made on the salary of the MP, I feel I have an obligation to let people know how I live, where I live and with whom I live. Everything in transparency”.
Regarding Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he said that he “lives in a glass tower, the Maximou, and orders editing, blackouts, wiretapping…”
“Autias is an official propagandist of the ND”
Stefanos Kasselakis also launched a personal attack on the journalist Giorgos Autias, who announced his candidacy in the European elections with New Democracy.
The president of SYRIZA spoke of an “official ND propagandist” and “weekend fake news”, while commenting on the statement of Mr. Autias, “I am running in the elections as a national Greek and with the slogan, Patrice, Religion, Family”, saying that the use of Hundred slogans “was always done by the oil merchants”.
