A study that the St.Galler daily sheet cited, in which sewage from over 80 European cities is analyzed to analyze the drug use of the population. The result of the study: More coke is produced in St. Gallen than in any other Swiss city – including Zurich, which still took the top spot in 2020. Not only that: sewage data shows that consumption in St.Gallen has doubled and that consumption per capita is even higher than that in Amsterdam. Across Europe, consumption is higher only in Antwerp, although London and Berlin are not part of the study. Since 2017, the Dutch cities of Antwerp and Amsterdam have been in the top four, along with Zurich and St.Gallen.
