Srinivasan on politics during college

“My father had a communist background. I thought myself to be a communist. Because my father was a communist, I thought it would be a tradition. I heard about Mahatma Gandhi for the first time when I went to my mother’s house. Both my mother’s father and mother were Congressmen there. I joined the college and became a member of KSU for a year. I had no idea. Whatever happened. At that time One person was constantly brainwashing me. He was a member of ABVP. Next year I became ABVP. ABVP has a program of tying Rakshabandhan. I am the first person who came to my country after tying it. It was a terrible problem when I landed in the midst of all communists. The son of a communist father tied Rakshabandhan. What is wrong with you? People’s reaction was like, “What is it?” One of my friends tried to break it. I said it would be the same moment you break it and I kill you. He quickly withdrew his hand. I’m out of town then”, says Srinivasan with a smile.
