According to Sri, a lavish lifestyle or penchant for showing off wealth has the potential to hurt public trust in the Directorate General of Taxes.

Steps Sri Mulyani is the aftermath of the persecution case committed by Mario Dendy Satriyo, son of an echelon III official at the Directorate General of Taxes, Rafel Alun Trisambodo.

Dendy is known to have abused David, son of Jonathan Latumahina, a high-ranking GP Ansor official. In addition to committing persecution, Dendy is known to have a penchant for showing off his wealth through his social media accounts.

Motorcycle club profile

Summarized from various sources, the name “Belasting Rijder” comes from the Dutch terms, namely “belasting” and “rijder”. “Belasting” means tax. Meanwhile “rijder” means rider. Therefore, the name Belasting Rijder also means motorbike riders from people who work in the tax agency.

This community also has many branches, one of which is in Riau and Bali. Even so, the majority of members live in big cities, such as Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan and Malang. All members of this big and expensive motorbike community consist of active and non-active employees of the Directorate General of Taxes.

There are various motorbikes to ride. Some of the motorcycles used include Harley-Davidson Sportster, Kawasaki ER6n, Honda Rebel CMX500, Royal Enfield, Kawasaki Z900, Honda CB500X, and others. Not only moge, some members of the Belasting Rijder community are known to ride automatic motorbikes such as Yamaha N-Max and Honda PCX. In fact, there are also members who ride Vespa motorbikes.

Routinely, the members of Belasting Rijder hold a sunday morning ride (sunmori) every weekend. Sunmori is an activity convoy using their respective mounts which is commonly done by motorcycle clubs. In addition, they often hold convoys through a long-distance touring.

Commented by Bambang Soesatyo

Meanwhile, the general chairman of the Central Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) Bambang Soesatyo or Bamsoet open voice about the decision of the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati to disband the Belasting Rijder motorbike club.

“That’s for the internal Ministry of Finance, namely the Directorate General Tax,” said Bamsoet, Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

The dissolution of the big-bike club, according to him, does not mean that it will prevent the hobby from being pursued, especially if the big-bike is the result of one’s own efforts. “So if you have a hobby, don’t be hampered, what’s important is the result of your own business,” said Bamsoet.

Furthermore, Bamsoet assesses that someone is pursuing a hobby because he wants to make life work in balance. Therefore the Chairman of the MPR RI hopes that in the future one cannot arbitrarily prohibit others from pursuing hobbies.

“Mom Sri Mulyani hobby is riding a bicycle, yes please ride a bicycle. Who plays golf, please. We-we are passionate about automotive, motorbikes, cars, yes, that is our hobby,” said Bamsoet.
