Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani finally opened his voice regarding the issue that he was the most prepared Defeat from President Joko Widodo’s Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (Jokowi).
Sri Mulyani, who was met at the State Palace after the meeting with the president, was reluctant to explain this issue. He emphasized that currently he remains focused on work.
“I work, I work, okay, thanks,” he answered briefly when asked, Friday (19/1).
Previously, the issue of Sri Mulyani’s resignation was raised by senior economist Faisal Basri. According to him, the former Managing Director of the World Bank is most ready to leave the cabinet.
Faisal said that these technocratic ministers were no longer comfortable being in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. The reason is because the head of state is considered to have violated the rules by using power for political interests.
“I chatted with high-ranking party officials. So it emerged that the one who was most prepared was Mrs. Sri Mulyani, Mr. Basuki too. In relation to Gibran, yes, because this is beyond common sense,” said Faisal.
On the other hand, regarding Basuki’s resignation, the Secretary General of the PUPR Ministry, Mohammad Zainal Fatah, said he did not know anything about the issue. But he suspects it is part of politics.
“That’s politics, I don’t know. I don’t know yet. I haven’t met the Minister either,” he said at the DPR RI Complex, Jakarta, Thursday (18/1).
