SRG is investing more money in Swiss films. It now supports audiovisual production with 34 million Swiss francs a year.
The new “Pacte audiovisuel”, the co-production agreement between the SRG and the private film industry, will apply from 2024 to the end of 2027. Compared to the previous regulation, the budget will be increased by CHF 1.5 million, the SRG announced.
According to the SRG, the increase in the budget is a reaction to inflation and rising production costs. The contract regulates the general conditions for productions that SRG realizes together with private producers.
