Tim Braune is the capital city correspondent for a large newspaper publisher. He oversees the federal government; is always where the Chancellor is. Then suddenly he can’t do anything anymore. From a life in the fast lane to zero – for almost two and a half years now.Tim, like so many people between 2020 and 2022, was infected with Corona. But the insidious illness completely knocks him off his feet: Long Covid gives Tim chronic fatigue syndrome. And that’s much worse than just being extremely tired all the time. Tim has to recover from going to the toilet for a week, it’s that strenuous for him. And yet he finds the strength to come back in the smallest of steps. Compared to the lives of healthy people, Tim is hardly resilient, and our conversation also has to be recorded in two parts.
