The day after the events in the Tamboerstraat building, one of the squatters Puk (18) is still shaking on her legs. She is scared, but also angry about so much injustice that has been done to her. “Everyone should know what happened here,” she says in front of the now boarded up building, where she has only lived for two weeks.

On July 20, she and four other girls, who collectively call themselves ‘Support Green’, squatted the house in old Crooswijk. “It’s not easy,” she explains. “For days we cycle through the city and look through the windows of dilapidated and empty buildings to see whether a house has really been unoccupied for a long time.”
