Square Enix brengt Visions of Mana uit in 2024

Sqaure Enix announced the RPG Visions of Mana during The Game Awards. It should be released in 2024 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. No specific release date has been announced yet.

Visions of Mana will be the first completely new game in the Mana series in years, according to developer Square Enix. The developer does not count the remakes of previous Mana games. The player takes on the role of Val, who must make a journey to the Mana Tree that the series revolves around. A good friend of his has been chosen to travel to the tree on behalf of the village and Val is assigned to protect her during the journey.

Square Enix says the game will feature a “partial open world.” It is not yet entirely clear what the developer exactly means by this term. As in the previous game, the battles take place in real time.

Furthermore, relatively little is known about Visions of Mana. It is known that a number of developers who worked on the Secret of Mana and Trials of Mana remakes are also participating in the development of this game.
