Spyglass Media Group Appoints Amanda Klein as Executive Vice President of Television (Exclusive)

Spyglass Media Group has hired Amanda Klein to serve as Executive Vice President of Television, different I learned exclusively.

In his new role, Klein will oversee all of Spyglass Television’s development and production work on both scripted and unscripted series. He will work closely with Peter Oillataguerre, President of Spyglass Production, and will report directly to Spyglass President and CEO Gary Barber. She begins her new role effective immediately.

“Amanda’s independent entrepreneurial spirit is very apt for Spyglass,” said Barber. “I am very pleased to welcome her to our team and look forward to managing her and expanding our television portfolio.”

“I have long respected Gary and am delighted to join him, Peter and the rest of the team as we continue to build the Spyglass television slate,” added Klein.

Prior to joining Spyglass, Klein was Senior Vice President of Television at Miramax TV. During his time there, he worked on projects such as Netflix’s serialized version of Guy Ritchie’s “The Gentlemen,” Issa Rae’s Hoorae Media revival of the HBO Max documentary series “Project Greenlight,” as well as the “artist of henna” for Netflix and the drama series Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” for Apple.

Prior to that, Klein was a senior development executive at Kaplan Entertainment, where she managed television production development. Klein also held senior positions at Sony’s Crackle, Pariah and October Films. Her time at Crackle included working on another television adaptation of one of Ritchie’s films: “Snatch,” with a cast that included Rupert Grint and Phoebe Denivore.
