In February 2021, the Federal Commission for the Protection against Health Risks (Cofepris) issued authorization for emergency use to the Sputnik V vaccine, developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology of Russia.
Personnel from the National Center for Childhood and Adolescent Health (Censia), the Federal Commission for the Protection against Health Risks (Cofepris) and the Biological and Reagent Laboratories of Mexico (Birmex) participated in the arrival and transfer of the vaccines. will be responsible for distributing them to all federal entities.
