Russia has returned the purchase price
Russia reacted with a cold and demanded the delivered vaccine back in an initial reaction. It would be sent to other countries that had already ordered, it said.
Now Russia has returned the purchase price for the 200,000 vaccine doses, said Finance Minister and Vice Prime Minister Igor Matovic on Thursday.
This could be a signal that the purchase of the vaccine, which was not approved in the EU, has now finally come to an end.
Matovic locates the guilt at the SUKL. “I congratulate you idiots! You have taken the health of millions of people in Slovakia hostage,” the former head of government wrote on Facebook last week. The fact that Matovic arranged the purchase of Sputnik against a decision by his own government was one of the reasons for his overthrow as prime minister.
