DeMar DeRozan scored 21 points, Keldon Johnson added 18 points and 10 rebounds, and the San Antonio Spurs held on just to beat the Boston Celtics 110-106 on Wednesday night.
LaMarcus Aldridge added 20 points, Dejounte Murray had 11 points and 11 boards, and San Antonio won its second straight home game.
For the first time this season, he played the Celtics’ starting lineup together, with Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart and Daniel Theis. Tatum scored 25 points, Brown added 24, and Smart and Walker had 14 each.
His balanced production was not enough and Boston saw its streak of two consecutive wins ended.
After DeRozan hit a pair of free throws for the Spurs to take a 103-101 lead, Theis nailed the ball with 40 seconds left. San Antonio regained the lead on a long-range shot from DeRozan and Murray nailed the ball on a fast break that gave the Spurs a 107-103 lead.
