Springer Nature got with the library of the University of California, Berkeley signed its first agreement with a scientific institution to publish Open Access-Büchern completed, says the message. The agreement covers book titles from all subject areas – from the humanities and social sciences to natural sciences, technology and medicine.

Last year Springer Nature had already signed a transformative agreement with the state association of the University of California – the new collaboration is now a further step.

Jo Anne Newyear-Ramirez, UC Berkeley Library’s Associate University Librarian for Scholarly Resources, adds: “As part of this agreement, we will cover one hundred percent of the publication costs for the Open Access books at Springer Nature for at least three years.
