LINZ. Spring weather and commotion in the downtown park!
Sunny weather and spring-like temperatures are attracting people from Linz to the city’s parks again. The problem areas in the Volksgarten are again more than well attended.
In the early afternoon there was a commotion or brawl in the area of the tram stop. In addition to robust police forces (including SIG), rescue also arrived.
In two press conferences at the beginning of the month, high-ranking state and city politicians announced a solution to the ongoing problems surrounding the Linz music theater.
Among other things, the benches at the stop level should be removed. The people harmlessly described as “user groups” – report here – are to be given their own zone including a mobile toilet in a green area at the other end of the park.
At least for today’s incident, this idea for a solution comes too late.
Update 9:00 p.m.: The reason for the operation was a fight between two men. Another man tried to settle the argument, but his hand was bitten. Everyone involved is Austrian.
